James Hubbell | A renowned San Diego artist, Jim has volunteered with the Americas Foundation since 1990 designing the buildings of Colegio La Esperanza Schools. Jim won the A.I.A.(American Institute of Architecture) Socially Responsive Award for design of Jardín de Niños La Esperanza. Jim animates our monthly building Volunteering events and our summer La Rosa Blanca programme. More recently Jim designed the set for our "Little Prince" Children's Ballet production | |

LATEST NEWS ! Robert C. Dynes, UCSD Chancellor: "... future plans include restarting the school of architecture that was established in 1989 but fell victim to budget cuts in 1992..." The UCSD school of Architecture design built the trellis structure over the stage area ten years ago. This Saturday their alumni and staff will be celebrating a 10th reunion in San Diego and Tijuana. The highlight of their weekend will of course be visiting (at 5:00 pm) the Colegio La Esperanza elementary school in Tijuana where we have our Volunteering Working Day (check details to join us) |
